Olga Chernisheva, soprano.
Described by critics as show-stopping (Opera Online), possessing ‘a pure, strong soprano with phrasing of sumptuous elegance’ (San Francisco Chronicle) and ‘a lyric voice focused and alluring… subtly expressive’ (Opera News), Olga Chernisheva is one of most interesting and distinctive singing actresses to emerge on the American scene during the past few years. A native of Russia, Ms. Chernisheva has appeared on the main opera and concert stages of Russia, United States, Europe and other countries as Aida and Violetta (La Traviata), Leonora (La Forza del Destino by Verdi); Tosca, Manon Lescaut, Cio-Cio San (Madama Butterfly), Mimi and Musetta (La Boheme), Liu and Turandot (Turandot by Puccini).
Raymond Chavez, tenor.
Opera San José, Pocket Opera, Opera Lab, Virago Theater, Open Opera, and Island City Opera. He appeared as Jean Gaussin in Massenet’s Sapho with Opera Lab, and was featured as the Trojan Slave in Opera San José’s Idomeneo. Ray appeared with Virago Theatre as Rodolfo in La Bohème, Alfredo in La Traviata, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, and Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni. ‘With Masterworks Chorale he was a sensation as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables.
Anna Yelizarova, mezzo-soprano.
A native of Russia, since coming to the US Anna has performed with Opera San Jose, Livermore Valley Opera, West Bay Opera, Opera in the Heights, Dicapo Opera Theatre, Natchez Music Festival, Center City Opera, New Opera NYC, Long Island Opera, Opera Company of Brooklyn, Opera Manhattan, Martina Arroyo Foundation, NY Lyric Opera Theater.
Maestro Bruce Olstad.
M.C. pianist, conductor and coach recently was Music Director/Conductor for a double bill of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Gilbert & Sullivan’s Trial By Jury for Lyric Theatre of San Jose. Chorus director for Andrea Bocelli’s 2015 concert appearance in Sacramento, he conducted the world premiere of composer Lisa Scola Prosek’s new chamber opera, The Lariat, in San Francisco. Other conducting assignments have been for Opera San José, Open Opera, Opera Bravura, West Edge Opera, West Bay Opera and Festival Opera.
