Letter:
Dear Roberta:
“I was over on Friday night for the Puccini one-act operas and loved them! I found Suor Angelica very moving and Olga Chernisheva wonderful in the part. It is a story that is very moving for me since we had two children who died as infants, 3 days and 5 days old, and the emotional pull is something that lies just below the surface and Puccini's music touches it. Gianni Schicchi was a delight. Is there anything funnier than watching people grub around for money and then get fleeced by a clever commoner!”
Congratulations to you, and best regards,
West Whittaker
