Jillian Boye (Arias in the Park August 23) is a San Francisco Bay Area native, and began her professional career at age nineteen as Barbarina in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro with Opera San José. Other regional credits include Frasquita (Carmen), Giannetta (L'Elisir d'Amore), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Eurydice (Orpheus in the Underworld), Sophie (Werther), Dorine (Tartuffe), Despina (Cosí fan tutte), Oscar (Un ballo in maschera), and Mary Warren (The Crucible).

An active concert soloist, Ms. Boy's appearances include Carmina Burana, Serenade to Music, Misa Criolla, Exsulatate, jubilate, The Messiah, Gloria (Rutter), and the world premiere of Nielsen's Out of Africa with organizations such as Symphony Silicon Valley, Sierra Symphony, South Valley Symphony, American Philharmonic, and Ballet San Jose. Ms. Boye received the Encouragement Award at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2008. The Young Artist Award from the Holt Competition and the grand prize in the San Jose Opera Guild Competition also number among her commendations.

Ms. Boye holds a Bachelor of Music degree from San José State University. Her upcoming engagements include Pousette (Manon) with Opera San Jose and Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana) with Livermore Valley Opera.
